Kingston is a city located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, where the lake meets the St. Lawrence River. Kingston is the seat of the Frontenac County and is also known as the “Limestone City” due to the many historic buildings constructed from local limestone. Kingston is home to several educational institutions, including Queen’s University, the Royal Military College of Canada, and St. Lawrence College. The city also has a rich history, having been a key military and commercial center during the 19th century.
